Launch of PioneerX Trucking Events

Welcome to PioneerX Trucking Events

As with most simulators eventually you reach a point where you need purpose to continue. In sim racing there is always the next race, this is planned an scheduled for you and you can choose to use this as your motivation to practice and participate. In flight simulation we often turn to external apps such a NeoFly4, OnAir or A Pilots Life Chapter 2 to provide this sense of purpose. Many of these apps are giving you a challenge to meet and so what could have been simply a ‘choose an airport and fly’ session becomes a need to do something specific to meet and need or challenge.

This is issue is the reason I left trucking behind in the first place. However at the time I had not discovered the World of Trucks site (WoT). This site is provided by the developer of the the Euro Truck and American Truck simulators and manages community events with gifts (often truck/trailer skins) as rewards. This provides the sense of purpose I was lacking.

However, few issues remained for me. The first is that WoT events must be done using a specific contract type in the simulator and as such are not open to anyone who does not yet own there own truck. The second is that events have a set time period and once that time has elapsed you can no longer participate in the event. This means that events from the past are not open to me now I have returned to trucking. The third is that because the events need to be timed long enough that players with limited game time can still complete them they are not cycled every often. It is easy to get passionate about an event and complete it in the first few days, after this you must wait for the next event to appear. An finally, there is no option to setup my own events with my own rules.

I decided to solve all these issues for myself and created the PioneerX Trucking Events site. This site hosts custom events and thanks to an integration with TrackSim it tracks ALL the jobs you do in either simulator and applied them to any every you subscribe to. The system boasts the following features….

• ANY job type counts towards events
• You can subscribe to any event at any time
• Your jobs count towards a global leaderboard as well as the event you subscribed to
• Previously expired World of Trucks events are recreated in PXTE so you can experience them
• Custom events with custom rules can be created – COMING SOON

While the site was designed mostly to satisfy my desire to do the old WoT events, it is open to anyone who wishes to subscribe, all you need to do is download and install the TrackSim connector and login to our site using your SteamID. The system will take care of everything else.
